Old Rectory Garden and Pool

The Old Rectory, a Georgian country house offering luxurious en-suite bed and breakfast accommodation near Swaffham. Built circa 1750 the family home and guest house is situated in an exceptional and unspoilt rural position with an outstanding view of the lake, and nearby Oxburgh Hall, a National Trust property with its historic parkland.

The Coach HouseThe Coach House and former stable block lie to the north west of the main house. Guests can enjoy a relaxing stay in this traditional accommodation which is only a stone’s throw from the main house. All rooms are individually decorated offering views of the stables and small Orchard. An ideal quiet country retreat.



The Main House

Courtenay BathroomThe Courtenay RoomThe Courtenay Room overlooks the 10th century church ruins and sweeping lawns to the front of the house. The en-suite bathroom overlooks the coach house and stables.
The room has a magnificent silver gilt bed and furniture and gives you a feel of the royal ancestry of the family.

Devon RoomThe Devon Room is decorated in a charming late Victorian style overlooking the swimming Devon Bathroompool, with a Victorian style bathroom overlooking the coach house and stables.


The Coach House

All rooms overlook the stables to one side and small orchard to the south side.


Earl's RoomThe Earl's Room has a traditional four poster style bed with en-suite bathroom . The room has a wonderful working log fireplace, to give guests a great feel of English Country life.

Countess's RoomThe Countess's Room has a more cosy ambience, with twin beds and en-suite bathroom.


Breakfast can be served in your room, or taken in the main house in the dining area or, during warmer months, on the parterre overlooking the swimming pool and lake.
